Mad Dogs British Pub on the famed San Antonio River Walk has been a favorite with visitors for 20 years (founded in 1995).
It has been dubbed “The Pub That Thinks It’s A Club’ by many of its loyal patrons. It has been offering entertainment 7 nights a week since it opened the doors. It also has a reputation for never closing our doors before 2am, regardless of weather, season or crisis. In fact it entertained guests who were stranded in San Antonio during the unfortunate events of ‘9/11’. When other restaurants on the river close early, the guests and employees head over to Mad Dogs for a guaranteed late beverage and some warming entertainment“, said Danny Badiola, Director of Operations.
Where the Stars Come Out To Play on The River Walk:
For two decades Mad Dogs has been the venue of choice on the River for visiting celebrities, from sports personalities, political figures or touring entertainers, we’ve seen them all. From Kobe Bryant to the William ‘Refrigerator’ Perry (American Footballs defensive lineman – Chicago Bears & Philadelphia Eagles) and local actor Tommy Lee Jones to Brit rockers Def Leppard & reality TV’s Super Nanny along with wrestling star John Cesna to comedian Ron White.
So remember if you are downtown and crave closeness to celebrity, pop into Mad Dogs, you never know what infamous celebrity might be enjoying the late night vibe at ‘The Pub That Thinks It’s A Pub’. Mad Dogs…….Yards, Kilts, Fish ‘n’ Chips & Fun.
